Keep in mind that any microscope less than five years old may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. It is recommended that you contact the firm you ordered from before you call a repair shop. In many cases you will receive local support and warranty repairs via this company. If you have an older microscope (older than five years) you may find the above repair shops an important part of you preventative maintenance program.
CONTACT BUNTON DIRECTLY IF YOU HAVE AN INSTRUMENT PURCHASED FROM US THAT IS STILL COVERED BY WARRANTY. |
Parts for older microscopes are becoming harder to find and labor costs for this specialized service may be in excess of $100 per hour with travel costs included. Remember that you are paying for expertise that is known by very few and their efforts to keep your microscopes in good operating condition is critical to good imaging techniques and first-class results.
